We’re Clubmark accredited! After months of hard work, we have achieved this award. Clubmark is an accreditation scheme covering a variety of different sports and is specifically designed for clubs with junior members.  Clubmark is the Sport England mark of high quality clubs, reassuring both parents and participants that the club is of a high quality with a welcoming environment for young people. The mark is awarded to clubs that can satisfy minimum operating requirements in four areas of the playing programme. We are the first riding school in Cornwall to achieve this status and only one of 24 in the whole of the UK! For more details regarding this achievement, please see our website.
This news was a great boost to the start of 2011 and made winter feel slighty more bearable! February signals for most of us the end of winter. The nights are starting to draw out and there is the promise of better weather around the corner. Well, hopefully! This month we have given you the opportunity to get some extra practise in regardless of your discipline. We have various competitions and are also hosting a lecture/demo with Richard Waygood, which we hope people will be curious enough to attend! We also start our various badge evenings/days so pony club centre members please keep your eyes peeled for dates!

Feldenkrais Sessions

We are pleased to announce that we are now hosting feldenkrais sessions. These are dismounted and for further information regarding feldenkrais and practitioner Shelagh O’Neill please check out our website.
The next session is on Tuesday 18th January. We can accommodate only 5 people each day and these sessions are very popular so please e-mail or phone regarding dates and availability.

Richard Waygood

Richard Waygood will be next taking a jumping clinic on Sunday 16th Jan. His clinics are becoming very popular and new riders are joining all the time. If you would like a lesson please book in as soon as possible to avoid disappointment as he can only do so many lessons in a day.
Due to the rising cost of fuel we have been forced to increase the price of the lessons by £2 so group lessons now cost £30 per person and £35 per person for a semi – private lesson.

Richard will be giving an evening lecture/demo on Saturday 19th February at 7pm followed by a clinic the following day.

If you wish to purchase tickets please call the office on 01208 831817. For further information please see the flyer on our events calendar.

Our favourite friends

We now sell mugs, key rings, tee shirts and fridge magnets with photos of our horses/ponies on them. If you would like a personalised item with a photo of yourself with your favourite four legged friend then please let us know and we will arrange it. This includes private horse owners!

For further information regarding prices etc please give us a call on 01208 831817 or drop us an e-mail. We are hoping to be able to offer this service online soon so please keep an eye on our website!

In the meantime, we look forward to seeing you in 2011!

January Special Offer

Throughout the month of January we are running a special offer. If you spend £50 in one transaction we will give you £5 off or if you spend £100 or more we will give you £10 off. - (Terms and conditions apply)

Clear Round Day

Our next clear round jumping day is on Sunday 9th Jan. It’s an ideal way to exercise your horse and to get your horse going after the Christmas break.

Alike

It costs just £2 a round or £3 for a clear round rosette. Food is available to purchase on the day.
Check out our schedule for info on heights of jumps etc.

Dressage Evening

Our next dressage evening is on Friday 14th Jan. Starts at 5.30pm and a copy of the schedule can be found on our events page. However, due to the amount of late entries we receive we have now introduced a late entry fee of £7. This also applies if we do not receive the entry fee before the competition.

Alike

We are happy to take late entries but it does involve more work and will hopefully prevent competitors from making late entries and then either failing to turn up or withdrawing at the last moment without paying!

Equine Physio

Equine Physio Gillian Tabor will be next at Barguse on Monday 10th January.

If you want your horse assessed please contact us asap.
