LovelyAugust Newsletter

Welcome to our August newsletter which hopefully give you an idea of some of the events that are going on in the next months. It’s been a really busy July with clinics and competitions and August is set to be the same!
It seems strange to think that this month sees the culmination of our summer competition series before we launch into the winter events. This became even more apparent as I am currently finishing orders for the tack shop for Christmas and the sales reps are bringing the clothes around for us to pre order for next spring!!!

Before we know it, the clocks will be changing and we’ll be clipping our horses!
So here’s wishing you all a great August, may the weather stay good!!

Michael Beining

July saw a very successful dressage clinic with international German trainer Michael Beining. This culminated with a three day clinic at Usk in Wales for a select group of Michael’s riders who were able to take advantage of both Michael’s experience and also German Grand Prix rider Andrea Leinker who sat on each horse beforehand and then gave feedback to the riders.
It was extremely informative for both spectators and riders and such was the success that it is hoped to run a longer clinic next year. The intention is to move it around different clinic organiser’s venues to allow spectators who were unable to travel to be able to attend.
Michael’s next clinic will be in October due to commitments abroad and we are looking to extend the amount of days he runs his clinic here due to the popularity of this clinic and also to allow riders the opportunity to have more lessons.
The next date will be announced in the next newsletter or alternatively, please e-mail us to be put on the list.

Richard Waygood

Richard Waygood will be taking the next jumping clinic on Sunday 4th September. We ask that riders please book in advance and your place will only be confirmed on receipt of payment.
Please note that this particular clinic looks set to be very busy so to avoid disappointment please book in plenty of time.
Late bookings will be accepted but only if there is space.

Nikki

The Spoilt Horse Company

Over the next few months the new orders of rugs and warm clothing will start appearing in the tack shop. You may have noticed that we now stock a large range of cards, jewellery, fashion accessories and gifts. However, if you have something in particular you want to purchase for Christmas please let us know as to avoid disappointment. The suppliers are already looking at Christmas stock and as normal there will be a late flurry of demand for certain items. We operate a wish list so if there is something that you would like your loved one to purchase, please give us your list and we can then direct them to the items that you would like to receive.

Nutwell Saddlery

Finally, we are looking to organise for Nutwell Saddlery to come in for the day. If you would like your saddle checked over and re-flocked on site or are looking to purchase a new saddle please let us know so we can organise a date subject to numbers. We have also been approached about running a microchip clinic.

Again, if you would be interested in chipping either your horse or dog please let us know so we can arrange a date.

Saddle Club DVD

Congratulations to Ella Cunliffe who won the latest competition on our website.

Competitions

This month sees the culmination of our dressage and jumping competitions. The winners of each discipline and category will not only win a rosette and trophy but a £50 gift voucher to be spent in our tack shop. To see the current championship standings please check out our website.

Fit to Ride Clinics

We are looking to commence the series of fit to ride clinics in September. The first interactive presentation was well received and there has been much interest in the other lectures.

We will be looking to run the safety one next which concentrates on the correct way to fall and how this will help in eliminating some of the fear that can be associated with horses.

If you are interested in attending please contact the office or e-mail asking to be kept informed on dates of the proposed clinics.

Summer Pony Club Camp

We are well into all the summer activities for the children and are all looking forward to the annual camp that runs from the 15th – 18th August.
Final payments should have been submitted and a kit list has been issued. If you have any queries regarding it please ask in the office.
All parents must sign a permission form before their child may attend so if you have not already done so please ask in the office.
