Barguse Riding Centre offers working livery subject to availability.
If you would like to take advantage of our facilities and have access to weekly shows throughout the winter, Barguse Riding Centre may be the place for you.
Our horses receive excellent care and attention, we are careful that their workload is neither too heavy or inappropriate.
Our philosophy is that the riders who come for lessons can experience how horses feel and behave in a similar way to privately-owned horses, so we can feel confident that if they then choose to progress to purchasing their own horse it is not too large a transition. Therefore, we do not work your horse so it is devoid of any energy or character.
Our horses live out throughout the year and are brought in during the day when required. We feel it is important to give them the opportunity to relax and not stare at four walls all the time!
In the winter, we supplement their grazing with ad-lib hay or haylage.
We are happy for owners to have their own farriers and vets, or if you prefer, you can take advantage of having our own equine vet on site and utilising our farriers. The choice is yours.
If you are interested in bringing your horse on working livery or wish to discuss it further please contact the office on 01208 831817.
